Ray Small graduated from City University London with a BSc (Hons) in Optometry. In his final year he was awarded the Special Study prize. He qualified as an optometrist in 1980.

His daughter Abigail joined the practice team in 1997 and qualified as a dispensing optician in 2005. Ray’s wife Christine returned to work in 2002 as a full time optical assistant, after raising the family. Elaine, Abigail’s childhood friend and Katie, Abigail’s sister-in-law are both part time optical assistants and are an invaluable part of the practice team.
